Leslie Mullen is a licensed paralegal working primarily in Small Claims Court handling various debt collections, contract disputes, and employment law matters (for both employer and employees).
In 2016, Leslie graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, and Criminology and Justice. During her studies, Leslie specialized in Human Rights Law, where she focused her studies on gender issues in the law, exploring it on both a national and international scale.
In 2017, Leslie attended the Accelerated Graduate Certificate Paralegal Program at Durham College. Leslie was recognized for her academic excellence, and was placed on the Dean’s List for both program semesters, graduating with President's List Honours in 2018.
Prior to becoming a Paralegal, Leslie worked for five years as a manager for a large restaurant group with 80 restaurants across Canada and the United States. At the age of 21, Leslie was promoted to General Manager, making her the youngest General Manager in Canada. She was consistently recognized by her peers for her excellence in management and customer service.
Working with Graham Scott Legal Services, Leslie has been exposed to many different aspects of the law. In addition to advocating for clients in the Small Claims Court, Leslie has experience in representing Clients in Provincial Offences Matters, Ministry of Labour claims, and drafting certain Canada Revenue Agency appeals for Clients. Leslie also has experience handling matters before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
Leslie looks to apply the skills and knowledge she has obtained through her past work experience and education to effectively advocate for her clients and to positively contribute to the legal community.
